Yes — all anglers 16 and older need a valid Missouri fishing license (or Illinois license, depending on trip location). Purchase your license online before your trip.

Purchase a Missouri fishing license

Bring your fishing license, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks/drinks, and a cooler for your catch. Anyone under 16 must wear a USCG-approved life jacket at all times on the water. All rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided.

Absolutely — Reel Addiction Guide Service is a family-friendly operation. Captain TJ loves introducing kids to fishing and tailors the pace and instruction to younger anglers.

Light rain doesn't stop a good fishing trip. In the event of dangerous weather (lightning, high winds, flooding), Captain TJ will reach out to reschedule your trip at no charge.

Depending on the trip and season, you can expect blue catfish, flathead catfish, channel catfish, crappie, and — during the spring season — paddlefish (spoonbill) at Lake of the Ozarks.

Yes, all rods, reels, terminal tackle, and bait are included in every trip. Just bring yourself and your license — we handle the gear.

Each guided trip accommodates up to 4 anglers to make sure everyone gets quality time on the rods. For larger parties, contact us directly to discuss options.

Yes — please bring a cooler with drinks and snacks if desired. If bringing a large cooler to transport fish, please leave it in the vehicle.

Beer and seltzers are allowed — please, no hard alcohol, shots, or glass. If an angler becomes too intoxicated and becomes a safety liability, the trip will end immediately at the captain's discretion with no refund.

Fish cleaning availability can vary by trip and season — ask Captain TJ when you book and he'll let you know what's available for your trip.

Meeting locations vary by trip type and are confirmed after booking — typically a boat ramp on the Mississippi River near St. Louis or at Lake of the Ozarks for spoonbill season. You'll receive exact directions in your booking confirmation email.

We understand plans change. Cancellations made more than 14 days before your trip receive a full refund. Inside 14 days, we're happy to reschedule based on availability. Weather-related cancellations by the captain are always fully refundable or reschedulable.
